What You Stand On Is What We Stand For
Our reason for being... To make beautiful, responsible, and high performing LVT flooring that you love for years to come as much as the day it was brand new. We make LVT flooring. It’s all we do. It’s all we’ve ever done.
To truly understand who we are, we must travel back to the 1950’s when our founder, Norman Stone, was the owner of a booming retail flooring store. While highly successful, Norman decided to broaden his supplier base. He learned Japanese, traveled to Japan, and began importing ceramic tile from there in the mid-60's. Throughout his travels in Asia, Norman also helped pioneer the first pure, homogenous vinyl floor tile from Taiwan and bring to America in the 70’s.
Today we know this type of flooring as Luxury Vinyl Tile, or more commonly referred to as LVT. The rest is history. Today, Norman’s son, Harlan, is at the helm of our organization, HMTX Industries, Metroflor’s parent company, inspiring us to make the world’s most beautiful floors. We will not compromise on quality, the environment, or the people that make the product.

What We Do
Resilient vinyl flooring has come a long way from the days of disco, with many advancements. All of which Metroflor has been a part, many that we have led. For example, bringing to market the first glueless, floating LVT floor which opened the door to more and more home applications because of the ease of installation and easy, carefree maintenance. Today, we offer one of the flooring industry’s widest range of products in multiple LVT categories including:
